Clinique eye defining liquid liner REVIEW

Good afternoon :)
I know...this brand is not cruelty free :( but my boyfriend gave it to me due to I lost my revlon liquid liner in his home; I was beginning to love the revlon liner when suddenly I got lost...anyway, I wasn't going to say no to my BF's gift, so here I am giving you my review :)
Clinique eye defining liner

What I LOVE about this:
1.It's the perfect matte black..the revlon had a bit of vinyl finish, but this one is absolutely matte black and the pigmentation is very good.

2. I love this brush, it's not stiff, neither soft, it's flexible enough to allow me make a perfect winged look or a simple bold line. You may have trouble if you want to achieve a super fine line, in that case, better go for the physicians formula eye booster serum liner.

3. It has no parabens on the ingredients list.

4. It has a very good amount of product, 3.1g for a liquid liner is a lot! It may last up to 1 year or more even  though you use it every day, these kind of liquid liners are magical, they come in a small tube but they last so long! (sadly not in your eyes).

5. The clinique girl gave me a little gift, a small mascara (which is good) and free samples of the lotions and
cleanser.

Ingredients list

What I HATE (and you would hate):
1. It's not waterproof...it isn't even water resistant, revlon was a bit of water resistant but this thing it's NOT. If you cry, beware...you'll look like a raccoon. You better not using it if you're on "those" sensitive days.
2. It's PRICEY...$16.50 :/ I wouldn't mind giving my almost 17 box if this eyeliner would have been waterproof or water resistant... I'll have to invite my Bf to dinner :P
3. It takes like 5-10sec to dry, otherwise it would transfer. I don't recommend this for summer, rainy weather and extreme oily eyelids.
4. IT SMUDGES EASILY! aflter 4 hours I did notice that the corner of my winged line was fading and FLAKING off, leaving the skin near my eye full of dark flakes. I hate this.
5. The formula it's too liquid, sometimes hard to work with.

WATERPROOF TEST! and swatches.

 Please don't smudge...

Oh Lord...it did.

Would I buy it again? NO, never. Clinique has good products, but this thing was their worst invention. The only reason I'm keeping is because my Bf gave it to me, otherwise I would have already thrown it away.
Please leave your comment :)

Revlon colorstay liquid liner REVIEW

Hello my pretty ladies!, So I was planning to get myself a cheap liquid liner but then a saw again the almay softies and I grab the smoke one, I really liked the two I bought weeks ago (in my last review) so I'm here with another one :) First I'm gonna review the liquid liner and the the eyeshadow.

I love eyeliners...so I have always 3 kind of them, first I've got the PF shimmer strips which are 100% waterproof and smudge proof, long lasting colour and the shade black it's matte with a bit of shimmer and pure black, love them so much, but I also like to have a non-waterproof liquid liner because, sometimes I just want to take off my winged eyeliner very easily and also 'cause there are some days which I don't need my makeup to be waterproof. So, let's talk about the revlon one!
What I did like!
1. First of all, I don't like to expend a lot on a liquid liner that I know it won't be water resistant, so I decided for this revlon one, it's very cheap ($7.50) and it has the right amount of product that a I need, which is 2.5ml, that's more than enough for me.

2. I love matte eyeliners, and this one has no glossy finish at all, it's totally matte black and its pigmentation is truly black.

3. It was clear that this thing wouldn't resist too much on my lids, but for my surprise it did! after a long day, around 7pm I noticed that my winged eye line was still perfect and didn't smudge at all. Other girls may have extreme oily lids and it may fade a bit or transfer to your lower lash line, indeed I do have oily lids but I didn't noticed any sign of fading or smudging, I can assure you.

4. It removes easily with water and soap.

5.  Cry Proof-test: it may resist a little bit, and there's no need of touch ups; once again, I was surprised with the durability of this eyeliner. Remember, if you're going to cry a river then it made fade away.

6. For beign a drustore non-waterproof eyeliner, it's a very good bargain.

What I DIDN'T like:
There's only one thing I hate about this: I have to re-apply liquid liner over and over again so I can build up my winged look, that's because the felt tip of the brush is very very stiff and it doesn't allow me to create the angle I want for my winged look; another fact is that it seems that the stiff felt tip absorbs all the liquid and by the time you apply it, there will be only a few amount of product to make the first stroke.
Revlon liquid liner felt tip brush

Sorry about the notorious changes of colour in the pics, The light in my room is very tricky.

Fine lines made with the awful applicator.
After 9h wearing it, it did flake a bit in the middle.

The water-proof test is at the end :)

Would I buy it again? probably no because of the silly stiff applicator.

Almay softies: smoke
Almay softies smoke

The shades smoke and hot fudge have the same texture: creamy and soft and they are easy to apply with the finger in contrast to the texture of the creme brulée which is more powdery and harder. This shade (smoke) looks like hot fudge but they're totally different once applied into skin; the smoke shade is like a dark-gray colour with a little bit of shimmer and with purple undertones (you notice it once you apply it on your lid), quite interesting shade and I really like it, it's perfect for a slight smoky eyes look. Though it has an insignificant amount of shimmer this shade is more like a matte eyeshadow.
The on thing you'll hate: You have to sweep the brush (or your finger) over the eyeshadow at least 10 times so you can get a slight pigmentation...yep, the pigmentation is crap as I said in my last review of the almay softies, but anyway I don't mind it, I still like the slight color but I know many girls will hate this eyeshadow. Surprisely, these shadows are very water resistant.
Would I buy this shade again? YES, this one and the cremme brulee.

Here comes...the WATER-PROOF TEST!

Revlon liquid liner swatch blackest black

Here is the waterproof test for the liquid eyeliner and the almay softie eyeshadow. At first sight it seems that both, liquid liner and eyeshadow won't fade away, wait a bit...

The results after rubbing with water:
Revlon liquid liner fades easily but the almay eyeshadow remains clear.

Would I buy again Revlon colorstay liquid liner? MAYBE...I like the intensity of the black and it last very log without smudging.
Would I buy Almay softies in smoke? Nope.

Cruelty free makeup companies.

My bunny princess when she was 4 months old!

Hello my friends, I'm not going to do a review but I want you to know the official companies that DON'T taste on animals and that are totally cruelty free, I'll leave you the official peta link where you can learn more and be well informed.
I'm trying to change all of my makeup to cruelty free, as you see in my last reviews, I've bought almay and revlon's products and that brands (which is the same company) are supposed to taste on animals. They used to be cruelty free but I haven't found the reason why they came back at tasting on animals :/ so, it's a bit harder for me due to these brands have amazing products (in my personal opinion) and they're at a very accessible price and they haven't caused me any allergic reaction.
But something that I've learn, is that if you want to reach a goal, nothing will stop you, so I'll keep on using physicians formula products and I'll try nyx for the firts time, also wet and wild. I really hope the revlon brand gets cruelty free son, this will be a long process but I may reach it :)
My big motivation will be my lovely bunny who's always running everywhere <3.

Almay softies eyeshadows review

Hello my pretty ladies, I'll review this day the softies almay eyeshadows!!
What I did like:
1. First of all, the pigmentation es very subtle and delicate, and when you apply it (either with your finger or a brush) you won't have that annoying problem of the eyeshadow's dust fall over your lower eyelid; these shadows stays put where you apply them, they don't fall out during the application.
2. They are very cheap, $5 up to $6 each one, and the individuals pots contains 2g which is enought product for me; eyeshadows tend to last me up to 18 months or even more, now that's a big buy at a low price!
3. They are easy to apply with your finger, you can build up the colour as you please. I don't recommend to use a brush with these kind of eyeshadows due to the powder gets stuck in the bristles and gets harder to build up the colour in your eyelid.
4. They stay put all day. I wore them like 10h and the colour didn't seem to fade away.
What I didn't like:
I didn't hate these eyeshadows at all, but there are some girls that like highly highly pigmented eyeshadows (like nyx and mac) and these ones are not like that. So, if you're one of those girls, you will hate the almay softies, because although they have a good colour, they're not 100% intense and you have to swatch the shadow over 10 times or more so you can get the colour that you see in the pot.
Sincerely I loved them, specially créme brulee because it was the perfect amount of shimmer that I was looking for my eyes.

Créme brulee

Créme brulee is my favourite eyeshadow! I usually hate shimmer but in my eyes,I love to wear it in the inner corners of my eyelids and I just love how it stays put without falling and messing up my undereye concealer. The colour seems to be like a nude beige but it doesn't leave you any colour, just shimmer and some people might be disappointed about that but I like it in that way. Another thing is that that, with this shade, the texture isn't soft at all, seems more like a compact powder. I'll repurchase this shade!

Hot fudge
This colour brown is totally matte.

Swatched less than 5 times and the shoot  was taken at natural day light.

So what you thinks about these eyeshadows? leave your comment please :) It makes me happy!

Almay wake up concealer: My thoughts after 1 year using it.

Shade light 010

Hello my beauties :) I want to share with you my experience with the almay concealer "wake up" in shade light. This concealer is now discontinued, I don't find it in the official almay page, instead, they launch a new one called "smart shade CC concealer" http://www.almay.com/products/face/concealer.aspx

Anyway, when I first saw the almay wake up concealer I saw in the packaging that it had cucumber extract, so that was supposed to work as a anti-puffy concealer with healing properties, and in that time I was making night shifts on the hospital, so I definitely needed a wonderful concealer!! But...
The things that I loved:
1. The formula is very fluid almost liquid but creamy, easy to blend and does not dry out skin.
2. The concealer has a yellow undertone, so it can camouflage moderate purple under eye circles.
3. It's good for light to moderate under eye circles.
4. Last all day and doesn't smudge.
5. It does cover fine lines and it doesn't accentuate them at all.
6. It doesn't irritate. Works nice as a primer for eyeshadows.
7. It has the right amount of product that I need, which is 6.5mL.
For a concealer, I consider that the perfect amount of product must be between 3.5g to maximum 6gr; that's because concealers in that range tend to last me up to 10-12 months, considering that I only use it 5 to 6 days a week.

The things that I HATED:
1. The container is AWFUL, the product gets stuck everywhere, so practically you're wasting concealer every time you press the tube.
2. The brush I think is useless because it's better to blend the concealer with your fingers or with other brush, but this one does not do anything to blend it right.
3. The coverage is moderate to light, so if you have severe under eye dark circles (like raccoon or panda eyes), then this concealer is not for you.
4. Bad for covering pimples and freckles.
5. The packaging said that the cucumber extract and other ingredients would help to minimise and heal your dark circles but...I didn't see anything to happen to my poor raccoon eyes :( so I kept using chamomile tea bags under my eyes.

No concealer on. that's how my dark circles look.
Concealer blended only with finger. There's not much difference between my under eye
area without/ with concealer.

Final thoughts: I don't know if I'll be buying it again, first of all because I don't think it's still available on the drugstores, but if I come to see it again, I won't grab it; the container sucks and it gest very hard to pull out some product once you're finishing it; another thing is that you waste too much product everytime you push the tube and the concealer coverage is weak for some people.
I rather chose again the revlon photo ready :) Pleaseee leave a comment and tell me about everything you hated or loved about this concealer!

Revlon lip butter lipstick review (candy apple)

Revlon Lip butter lipstick in candy apple
candy apple lip butter
Revlon lip butter lipstick candy apple
Ingredients list

This lipstick is a new generation of lip colour and balm. It goes on nice but you have to press a little bit the balm against your lips because the formula is not too creamy as other lipsticks are, otherwise, just with one stroke on my lips are already coloured. I chose the shade "candy apple" which is a vibrant red and it has no shimmer! it's very hard to find lipsticks without shimmer, I like them matte or just with a glossy finish, I'm afraid I'm not a fan of shining shimmery lipsticks and blushes. After a couple of hours wearing it, my lips get a red tint, so basically this butter lipstick doesn't fade away completely after 2 or 5 hours, like what happens with other tinted lip balms, and I like that! Seems like this is the perfect lipstick but...what really disappointed me was the small amount of product of 2.55g, and for it you're paying almost $8.00, that's absurd :/ I wouldn't mind about the price if the lipstick would include at least 4g of product, but...nah...
Another fact is that, although your lips tent to get a nice and lasting tint, the moisture effect disappears after 5-7hours, so I have to been applying lip balm over my lips to keep them moisturised. I didn't feel any kind of smell with this lipstick neither flavor.
Candy apple swatch
That's the whole amount of product.

RATING: 8.3 I like it, but I'll only buy it if there's a 10% off or something, The concept of the brand is good but it's so little amount of product :( and I'd like it to be more silky like the baby lips from maybelline. What do you think about these lip butters? please leave your comment :)
